Bobbie Brown - Twilight Pink and Eye Palette

So as a cheeky little christmas present, my mum got me a little gift set of all these little Bobbie Brown things. One of them was an eyeshadow and lip set. I don't own a huge amount of eyeshadow so this was a real treat for me, and my mum clearly has great taste as it was such a lovely collection of colours!

The colours are called Ivory Eye, Dusk Sparkle, Canary Shimmer Wash, Cool Ivory, Nude, Slate, Opal Sparkle, Truffle, Twilight Pink Metallic, and Espresso Eye Shadow and the lip colours are called Twilight Pink, Nude Pink, Pale Mauve and Bronzed Pink. Oh and please excuse how messy the palette is, you can tell i've been playing around with it! (also my lighting isn't too great either, sorry1)

So of course I need to properly figure out how to apply eyeshadow, despite my hundreds of attempts, I still can't get it perfect. But it is one of my goals for the year, and with this new set, I'm sure on my way to perfecting the eye look. The first thing to notice is how sleek it looks, with the Bobbie Brown logo on top of the shiny black box. Not only is there the eyeshadow and lip balm in their, but also a little mirror that folds out. So if your on a night out, I guess you could top up your make-up, although personally I wouldn't take it out with me, as it rather chunky.

It comes with two brushes, one for the eyes and one for the lips. Personally, I think if you already have your own longer length brushes, then use those as these ones are a tad small and fiddly, but I think they still complete the set. All the eyeshadow colours are just perfect, I especially love the two sparkly ones (second in from the left). As for the lip palette, I haven't really used them much as they aren't really my thing, but I can tell you they aren't greasy nor overwhelming. I guess if you went for dramatic eyes, you don't need dramatic lips but they are very creamy and I am slowly but surely being tempted into using them more often.

Overall, this is a cute little set that I definitely treasure. Whenever someone has stayed over, they have definitely asked to try it out. I don't know how much this would cost as I got it as a present, but from the website, I am told it costs around £46, so thanks mum!
